Tell us how you met your fur babies!

The cat we owned before we got Primrose died. The house was too empty, sad, and quiet. As much as we both wanted to adopt again, my husband did not want to suffer as he had allergies for years. I begged him and researched hypoallergenic cat breeds. I kept leaving the web pages open for my husband to see on his computer. Finally, the Siberian Forest Cat struck his fancy. He agreed to get a cat if he could locate a reputable and nearby breeder. He zeroed in on one, and I made contact. We asked if they had any kittens, not knowing that waiting lists were commonplace. We were told one female who was just spayed was now available. She was going to be their next golden Queen, but they changed their minds. A photo was sent to us, and we fell instantly in love with her. She was in my arms a month later.

What style is #yourcatbackpack?

What was your biggest reason for getting your cat backpack?

Primrose will walk in the leash for short stretches. I was carrying her in my arms more than she was walking. She was also not real happy while walking on busy trails... dogs and hoomans made her very nervous. Having the backpack was my way of being able to take more extensive hikes and still bring Primrose with me.

What’s your biggest tip for getting your cat used to your cat backpack?

Leave it out and opened.

What’s your cats preferred method of travel in your cat backpack? Bubble? Screen? Top open?

Having the top of the backpack open. I used to drape Primrose across my shoulders and hold her back paws to keep her from falling. I think this method is the closest to what she was already used to.

Tell us about your favorite odd but endearing behavior you see from your cat(s).

She asks for multiple brushings per day.
