The best adventures start with baby steps.
Introducing your kitten to a harness early can help make wearing one feel like a normal part of their routine. Start with a few minutes around the house, add plenty of treats and play, then slowly work your way toward leash training and exploring new environments together.
Whether you're preparing them for neighborhood walks, trips to the vet, travel days, or their future as a full-fledged adventure cat, this harness gives them a comfortable place to start.
Train early. Build confidence. Do more with your cat.

How to Put the Harness on Your Cat
Safety Starts With the Purrfect Fit
Always check your kitten's harness fit before every adventure.
The harness should fit snugly without restricting your kitten's movement or breathing. Because kittens grow quickly, regularly check and readjust the fit as your kitten gets bigger.
Before heading outside:
- Make sure every closure is completely secured.
- Check the harness fit before attaching the leash.
- Begin harness training indoors.
- Give your kitten time to become comfortable walking normally in the harness.
- Always supervise your kitten while they're wearing their harness.
- Never attach a walking leash directly to your kitten's collar.
- Make sure your kitten is ready for outdoor exploration based on your veterinarian's vaccination recommendations.

They graduate! The Kitten Harness is designed as a first step into harness training. Once your kitten outgrows it, the XS "The True Adventurer" Harness is the perfect next size for continuing their adventures.
Kittens can begin getting comfortable with a harness while they’re young. Start indoors with short, positive training sessions and let your kitten set the pace. For outdoor adventures, follow your veterinarian’s recommendations regarding vaccinations and when it’s safe for your kitten to explore outside.
Measure around the widest part of your kitten’s chest, just behind their front legs, and compare that measurement to our size chart. Because kittens grow quickly, check the fit regularly and adjust as needed.
Yep! Some kittens freeze, flop, or walk a little strangely when they first experience a harness. Keep sessions short and positive, and give them time to adjust rather than forcing them to walk.
We recommend using the harness for supervised training, walks, travel, and adventures rather than leaving it on your kitten unattended or for extended periods.
No cat harness can guarantee that a determined cat will never escape. Proper sizing and fit are extremely important, especially with small, flexible kittens. Always supervise your kitten and check their harness before every adventure.
For walking and exploring, we recommend attaching the leash to a properly fitted harness rather than a collar. A harness distributes pressure across the body instead of concentrating it around your kitten’s neck.
